As Christians, the Bible tells us that we are "aliens and strangers," exiles in a world that is not our home. We feel the hostility of the world more and more with each passing day. But we aren’t the first to have this experience. The book of Daniel gives us the story of Daniel and his three friends who are ripped from their homeland and forced to live as exiles in an unfamiliar place. Along the way, God gives them several experiences and promises for the future which comfort them and encourage us that God is in control, even when we're far from home.
